LOCAL HUNTING RATES

1. Hunting Protocol

For the safety of both the hunter and guide, please adhere to the rules. Before hunting season commences, all rifle scopes have to be tested and aligned in the shooting range provided. This will not only get you ready, but also give you the confidence to relax and enjoy the hunt.

2. Get-Away Wildlife

The onus lies on the hunter to be alert and on the look out for any wild animals that may break away from the herd through borderlines, and get away. In such an event, the hunter will take responsibility for the negligence.

3. Exclusions

The following are PROHIBITED:

  • Hunting on Sundays (except for wounded animals)

  • Unsupervised hunting

  • Night hunting (before sunrise / after sunset)

  • Hunting within road and border crossings

  • Hunting of female species during 1 September - 31 March

  • Rifles with calibers less than .243 / 6mm

  • Loaded firearms in and around living areas

  • Shooting with firearms in and around living areas, and surrounding areas where other guests, employees, or buildings are

  • Private vehicles in hunting areas

  • Alcoholic beverages given to the hunting guides

  • Rubbish dumping anywhere on the property

  • All accommodation

  • Daily laundry

  • Use of hunting vehicles

  • Services of licenced professional hunter

  • Trackers & ground staff

  • Skinners

  • Field preparation of trophies

  • Fire wood

  • Ice

RATES EXCLUDE

  • Gratitude to camp staff

  • All wounded animals

  • Shipping & carrier charges of trophies

  • Accommodation before & after safari dates

  • Any taxidermy costs

  • Animals being hunted
